Reflecting on My Journey
As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2024 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?
This recognition as a Women in Tech Global Awards 2024 winner is deeply meaningful because it highlights our commitment to embracing innovation, adaptability, and empathy, especially during one of the most challenging periods in recent history. Transitioning to a remote workplace during COVID-19 was not just a logistical challenge but a cultural one. It required us to listen carefully to our people, understand their evolving needs, and creatively adapt our strategies to ensure they felt supported and connected.
This award reflects the dedication and resilience of our team as we navigated uncharted territory. By fostering open communication and prioritizing flexibility, we turned challenges into opportunities, building a remote work environment that not only maintained productivity but also strengthened our culture. Listening to what our people wanted—whether it was about work-life balance, mental health resources, or collaboration tools—was key to our success.
Winning this award reaffirms the power of putting people first in tech. It is a testament to how inclusion, creativity, and empathy can drive impactful outcomes, shaping the future of work and inspiring other organizations to do the same. We’re honored to be recognized and will continue championing innovation that centers around our people.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
As a Human Resources practitioner, the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry is the opportunity to empower people in a field that thrives on constant evolution. Tech is inherently innovative, and being part of this space means contributing to an environment where adaptability and collaboration are key to success. Our core values of always evolving and succeeding together guide everything we do, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to help individuals and teams grow in alignment with those principles.
In HR, we play a pivotal role in shaping a culture that not only embraces change but sees it as a pathway to growth. Supporting people as they adapt to new technologies, develop their skills, and thrive in dynamic, high-growth environments has profoundly influenced my career. By fostering collaboration and creating spaces where teams can learn and succeed together, we ensure that our workforce remains empowered and future-ready.
These values have taught me the importance of listening, empathy, and designing initiatives that bring out the best in people while advancing organizational goals. Whether implementing inclusive hiring practices, supporting career development, or navigating challenges like remote work transitions, my journey in tech HR has shown me that when we prioritize people and work together toward shared success, the impact is transformative—for the individual, the organization, and the industry as a whole.
