Have you ever wondered what tech executive recruiters seek in candidates for director, general manager, and CXO roles? This discussion provides insight into building and optimizing your professional personal brand to become a recruiter click magnet.

What does your team or boss say about you when you are not in the room? That, my friend, describes your personal brand. It doubles as the key to your superpower for career moves within the tech industry.

In this workshop, Monique Montanino will highlight industry research, share tech executive client stories of female powerhouses at Fortune 500 companies and startups, and provide resources to fine-tune your professional brand.

Key Takeaways

  • understanding the importance of personal branding
  • establishing your point of view
  • learning tips on developing your brand
  • promoting yourself to become a recruiter magnet

Bio

Monique Montanino began her tech sales and marketing career in Dallas, Texas, before migrating like a salmon to Seattle, Washington.

Her book Clicks, Tricks, and Golden Handcuffs: 5-point Roadmap for Tech Executives to Land Big-Impact Roles debuted on Amazon in late 2021. She’s been a featured conference speaker at WomenTech Network, Women in Tech Summit (WITS), and Women in Tech Texas, with hundreds in attendance.

The author wore her golden handcuffs for 18 years at two Fortune 500 companies—lured by cash bonuses, stock options, pensions, and the promise of retirement insurance. It allowed her to retire early, at 55 years old, as a technology sales executive.

Currently splitting her time between Seattle and Austin, Monique is the founder of Resumé Tech Guru, whereby she collaborates with technology executives on their job search journeys. She is a certified executive coach and obtained her BBA from The University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from St. Mary's University in San Antonio.

You can access her monthly blog posts at www.resumetech.guru or connect with her on LinkedIn for tech exec career advice.
