But who are we as as Kyndryl? And I'm gonna first start off with just our name. Because our name actually, there was a lot of thought, that went into, creating the name the name Kyndryl. And you can see here, you know, it's divided into two pieces. But really in in, in all, it really points to the importance and the key point about, people. People are at the center of our company. Our employees are at the center of our company. Our clients are at the center of our of our company.
You know, we have an expectation and anticipation of really strong collaboration, partnership, working together, supporting each other because we know that that's, you know, really how we're going to, achieve success. So, you you know, that this this kind of aspect is shown and was, you know, a foundation in in in how the name even came about. So Kyndryl is, is a fairly new in company as an independent company. Alright? But, we've been around for about four years, so we, from we spun off from our predecessor company. And, even though we're new as Kyndryl, we really have a long history and a strong foundation that we brought over with that spin off, which is quite unique. And, and and it has been, obviously, coming with a strong foundation, you know, set us set us up with, some some great, business and and success, you know, from this from the start.
So we, are we were born, you know, in in space of, IT infrastructure services. And, you know, having that that history with us, we're actually the world's largest IT infrastructure services provider. So, we have this this great big business even though we're young. And it's interesting to combine those two aspects because we have the strong foundation, but being young, we also have the the attitude of of being young and being fast and thinking new. And it's been said about, Kyndryl, that we're the world's largest start up company. And I can say that I really can feel that, you know, attribute, characteristic in the way we go about our daily lives. So we like to think fast. We like to work fast.
We like to think creatively, and and bring all of that, you know, those positive attributes to the businesses that we already have, but also to expand into new businesses. So just to show you a little bit about, you know, some more specifics around these numbers and what makes us so large, You can see some of the size, you know, our number of employees and where we operate globally. Our clients are, you know, thousands of clients. The majority of the large Fortune, Global 100, all make us kinda who we are and who we're working with on a daily basis. But with our our tradition, of, you know, the infrastructure services, we literally power the systems of thousands of companies. So it's pretty cool to think about what we do and and for other companies that help them to operate and basically serve the world.

Great. I hope you enjoyed that. That video really kinda gets to the heart of, a lot of the key aspects of of how we operate, who we are, and who we operate with. You know, it touched on some of the industries. I mentioned that we're cross industry, but, you know, from financial services to to health care, to governments, to transportation, to communications, and kinda name it. I have this slide up here because we, we know that, we have a lot of expertise. We have a lot of history. We have a lot of vision, but we also have, a a lot of partnerships.
And we're really proud of the partnerships and alliances that we've been building and continue to build because we know that we wanna build the best solution for for our clients. And with our partnerships, we will collaborate and work, with them, each of us bringing the best of what we have so that we can cocreate and, you know, really bring the best in breed, right, best solution for for each of our individual client needs. So this this list kinda shows, you know, where a lot of our, part alliances, lie. And it's really exciting to know that, you know, when we're working, on our daily work, we're also working with professionals, and and colleagues and and some of these other companies really being creative and figuring out what innovation is needed. Okay. So just you you can look at some of the range of opportunities here, but I do wanna touch on a a point that I mentioned, before about our history and and, foundation of the IT infrastructure services.
And that really has set the stage for further growth in in other areas and in other services. And one of our high growth areas right now is in consult. So Kyndryl consult has, seen phenomenal growth lately and is continuing that growth. And we're building a lot of opportunities with our clients combining, you know, our work with alliances that I just showed you and also our expertise in, you know, managing managing operation, managing the the business, and it's just allowing more and more growth. So when you combine the IT infrastructure IT infrastructure services with consulting vision and innovation. It's a really powerful combination of helping clients see where they need to go, in in this, you know, world as it keeps on evolving. And we're right there with them hand in hand on how to see that, how to plan for it, and how to implement it.
It's been said that we're not a traditional consulting company. We're really an engineering firm. We we're there to engineer the solutions for our clients to think of them, engineer them, and implement them and run them. So, you know, it means lots of new opportunities for our clients, and that translates, of course, into lots of new opportunities for our people, from an employment standpoint. So, here's a a range of, opportunities that we that we have. I mentioned before in the first, in the introduction that, you you know, we recruit for from early careers all the way through professional services into, executive and and high leadership leadership roles. We've also put a lot of effort and thought into building our culture. The our one of our key colors, and you can see it on the slide in the upper left hand color is red.
And we actually, red, r e d, stands for an acronym that kinda underlines some key components of our culture. The r stands for restless, empathetic, e, and devoted in the d. And, yeah, I can I can say that I feel each of those, aspects really daily? Touched on the points about being restless. We're always trying to create. We're excited. We're we're agile. We're figuring things out. And that's to me, you know, I think it's always a an exciting environment. But we're also very empathetic, and this is what makes a difference, I think, in a lot of situations because we know we need to we want to work with each other. We know that that's the key to success, and we're empathetic to, for with each other.
And that just, you know, creates a great supportive environment that I think helps our teams thrive and helps helps us also individually thrive, on a daily basis. And then d is just devoted. And and really we say we're devoted to our shared success. Again, we're a team. We're in this together. And so our devotion isn't just about, you know, one thing. It's really about us together, being successful. So that to me, I think, gives a and when I think about our culture, I think those three words are really meaningful to me. And, again, I've felt them. I appreciate them. I've, you know, it's made a difference in my daily life, under different circumstances of those three words coming to life. My name is Davina Cave, and I am a consult partner at Kyndryl. I am dedicated to a particular customer. My role is to understand that business, that customer, their objectives, and their challenges, and then really try and bring the very best of Kyndryl to bear to help our customer solve its most complex business problems. Once Kyndryl became its own entity in business, I really saw a lot of growth potential there. So I was very much interested in the opportunity to work in a hundred year startup and to join an organization that really had a lot of untapped growth potential. Secondly, the diversity of backgrounds and skills and experiences of the other kindles that I'd be working with, that's really important for me in a working environment and culture. And then thirdly, the growth potential for me as an individual.
Joining a new company that had such a strong growth ambition meant that there would be the ability for me to work in new and exciting projects to make a difference and also to grow my own career as well. The most valuable benefits offered to me working at Kyndryl are, of course, flexible working. It's great to be able to have the ability to juggle your work and your personal life. I have an office that I can come into, which is central and where there's a community when you do come in. We're actively encouraged to take time out of our billable work to make sure that we're learning and upskilling ourselves so that we can provide the most value back to our customers. Because we are an organization that is trying to grow and expand and reach out into new markets and offerings, it gives me the opportunity to contribute.
You have the opportunity to be part of the future. If you have an idea, something that you think we could do differently or better, there's always somebody willing to listen. Kindrels are curious. We like to solve problems. It's really great to show up at work and know that you'll be working with a team of diverse individuals. And because we've all got different experiences, backgrounds, career ambitions, it means that we have more creative conversations. We look at different ways to solve the same problem. And there's a there's a real camaraderie amongst the team as well. And for me, that just makes work really enjoyable.
