In 2016, Akamai launched Akamai Technical Academy (ATA) with the mission of providing nontraditional STEM talent a pathway into tech by training them with the foundational skills needed for entry-level jobs.

In 2023, they relaunched the ATA program on Coursera allowing them to have global reach and flexibility for learners from all backgrounds.

They currently offer two professional certificate programs, one in Network Engineering and the other in Customer Consulting & Support. Both programs offer learners foundational skills that can be applied to entry-level roles at Akamai and across the tech industry.

“Akamai's support is integral to WomenTech Network's initiatives, which include expanding our programming, reaching new members in the Massachusetts area and globally, and inspiring women to become technology leaders," says Anna Radulovski, CEO & Founder.

To date, Akamai has over 4,000 learners enrolled globally between the two programs! In addition to the courses, they also offer quarterly engagement sessions to anyone enrolled in the programs to network with their business leaders and gain support in resume writing and interviewing. ATA offers scholarships for the programs, learn more here. Whether you are a recent graduate or looking to change career paths, ATA can help.
