From my perspective, one of the main reasons introverts often don’t “excel” at networking events is simply because the whole dynamic can feel unfamiliar: the routine, the high-level conversations, even the logistics of how things work can be confusing. Starting with smaller events and going with colleagues can help build a sense of familiarity and control.
