Losing my job was humbling. I took pride in the ideas I had, the ethics I applied, the teams I led, and the results I accomplished. I was confident that in my role, I could help people. I could motivate teams to take a breath, pick up heads and tackle greater goals. I could mentor and coach. Anyone who was afraid, unsure, or beaten down, I could be trusted to listen and advise. I have learned it was not the job I did which people appreciated, but me. I believe all of us have a voice. My goal is to give volume to that voice. Dream a greater goal, plan the steps to accomplish, and go do it! |
