As a Technical Program Manager, you will contribute to strategic programs that will directly support Akamai and its customers. This role will be primarily focused on projects in areas including compliance, threat & vulnerability management, and product security. You will need to interact with, and support, the business and technical stakeholders with compassion, empathy and candor.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Planning, coordinating, communicating, and delivering critical projects accurately and on time
• Creating and maintaining project infrastructure and collateral in alignment with standard InfoSec PMO practice
• Driving definition of project scope, requirements, objectives, and milestones, involving all relevant stakeholders
• Partnering with stakeholders and project teams to plan projects and ensure they stay on track
• Working with project teams to identify and evaluate project risks and issues
• Providing support, leadership and motivation for project teams
• Exercising high written and verbal communication and listening skills to support clarity, trust, and well-coordinated project execution
• Engaging collaboratively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to foster alignment, establish goals, and manage expectations

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 5 relevant experience years leading complex technical projects/programs
• Possess hands-on knowledge of Project Management methodologies (for example: Waterfall, Agile, SAFe, Scrum, Traditional PMI methods, etc.)
• Have exceptional organizational and communication skills, demonstrate ability to engage with business and technical stakeholders with compassion and empathy
• Have a successful track record of stakeholder management, including executive level stakeholders
• Demonstrate ability to think critically to lead program work at an enterprise scale
• Have previous experience with Atlassian toolset (Jira, Confluence, etc.), and project management software like Smartsheet or Planview
