At GFT we have an extensive experience on Open API governance, conducted by a Global Open API Practice. This practice is responsible for support, align and develop common assets at a global level. We have an open position for an API Gateway specialist, a senior engineer with seasoned experience on solving cross-cutting-concerns at large organisations. We are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic person willing to grow in a multi-cultural, motivating and challenging environment.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Act as an API Governance Expert
  • Manage Apigee, API Connect or other API Gateways in order to provide for our APIs providers some security, rate limiting, quotas, analytics...
  • Implement approaches as declarative programming (everithing as code), software to process and reporting engagement, query language APIs (GraphQL), and modern arhitectural patterns like CQRS / ES.
  • Data architecture, API design, AsyncAPIs and implementation.
  • Solution design and technology stack selection.
  • Solution development and technical team supervision.
  • Analyze and document the enterprise and technology environment.
  • Software architecture design and guidance.
  • Enterprise architecture and integration patterns.

Skills will help you succeed:

  • Computer Science diploma, 10+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience designing and building business/technical services using API Gateways and supporting them in production environments.
  • Experience designing relational data models, building microservices and dealing with sync/async integration technologies.
  • Deep understanding of modern software development lifecycles, versioning, and deployment.
  • REST design principles, GraphQL design principles and cross-cutting-concerns patterns.
  • Fluency in English (at least B2 level)
