You will work for our Connect tribe, which builds and operates white label portals for the largest media publishers in the world (e.g. CNN, AD, Elpais, Business Insider, Focus Online, etc.), offering Commerce Content solutions such as coupons, deals, shopping recommendations, and reviews. Connect aspires to be “the customer's easy, fair, and caring shopping partner from discovery to purchase” by building holistic, interconnected shopping platforms for existing and new publishers. The tribe traces its origins back to 2012 and operates across 21 markets in Europe, North America, APAC, and Latin America.
We are currently looking for a Solution Architect (m/f/d) to join our Product & Technology team in our office in Munich. Our Product and Technology team is autonomous and co-functional, operating in an agile environment with a customer focus. Our engineers, product managers, designers, QA, and analysts target outcomes rather than outputs, using OKRs to deliver our vision.. Amongst many exciting challenges, you will:
- Design and evaluate architectures for diverse business capabilities (services) from our portfolio
- Make sure that the choices fit into the global software architecture and contribute to the technology strategy
- Make the right architectural choices by having a high understanding of the business context - anticipate the load, predict data usage patterns, integration with other services and third party solutions, reusability
- Make sure that all of the company standards and best practices for security, technologies are integrated into the solution architecture
- Mentoring and educating the development teams on architectural best practices
- Contributing to the Tech Radar by suggesting new technologies or deprecating existing ones that are becoming obsolete
- Constantly monitoring new technologies and practices
We are a match if you have...
- 5+ years within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, AWS cloud computing , systems engineering, infrastructure, data & analytics) - ideally a combination of more than one
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
- Understanding of Networking fundamentals including Security
- Understanding of Storage and Databases (Relational and/or NoSQL)
- Proven development background in one of the high level programming languages (Node.JS, Java, Python, or PHP)
- Experience working with Domain Driven Design, Microservice Architecture and Event Driven Architecture
- Interest in and understanding of basic business concepts and how technology can improve the performance of the business itself
- Written, visual and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions to both large and small audiences
- Previous experience being part of an architecture team would be considered as a plus
