SE Health (Saint Elizabeth Health Care) is a leading, national social enterprise bringing excellence and innovation to home care, seniors' living, and family caregiving. Each day, the organization has the privilege of delivering more than 20,000 care exchanges through our national team of 8,000 leaders.

As an organization that has been honouring human experiences in health care for more than 110 years, SE Health continues to pursue innovation and leading practice to advance quality of life and bring hope and happiness to Canadians.

The SE family includes a dedicated research centre, health career college, future of aging team, and global enterprise. Together with the Saint Elizabeth Foundation and diverse partners, SE strives to deliver transformative solutions in the areas of aging, education, Indigenous health and end of life care. SE Health was the first organization in Canada to deliver home chemotherapy in the 1990’s, the first to utilize e-training with 500 First Nations communities in the 2000’s, and the first to introduce an AI Chatbot for family caregiver support in 2018.

SE Health is as dedicated to employees as they are to clients. As an employer, SE Health’s People Everything philosophy and program focuses on listening, collaborating, growing, and recognizing employees to ensure a great employee experience. Over the past two years, SE Health has received Canada’s Most Admired Corporate Cultures Award and has been Certified as a Great Place to Work.

With a new CEO acutely focused on innovation and growth, SE Health is well positioned for its next chapter of making a difference.

Embracing and driving change is critical to SE Health’s ongoing success. The health care sector is transforming at a rapid rate, and there has never been a more exciting or important time to revolutionize how health care is delivered. SE Health is a front-runner in the health care sector and is relentlessly focused on developing and deploying new and innovative technologies and strategic investments to continue to drive the company forward.

Reporting to the President & CEO, the SVP & Chief Digital Transformation Officer (CDTO) is a key member of the senior leadership team and is responsible for supporting the development, execution and delivery of SE Health’s digital strategy across the enterprise. The CDTO will leverage both existing and emerging digital toolkits to change how people and processes work and, importantly, how clients, practitioners and employees experience health care and SE Health. The CDTO will be a digital, technological and change evangelist and, ultimately, must be driven by a sense of purpose to help change people’s lives through better, smarter, faster health care today, tomorrow, and into the future.

The SVP & CDTO will oversee a team of approximately 70 people through the leadership of the CIO, the VP of Digital Enablement and the VP of Business Transformation, underlining the strategic and tactical contributions that this new leader will make to SE Health.

With a strong understanding and knowledge of digital operations and business growth strategy, the CDTO will work closely with the senior leadership team to envision and architect the company’s digital future across three primary areas of focus:

1. Internal transformation of systems and processes

  • Redefine the roadmap, enabling devices, tools and apps to ensure SE Health’s distributed workforce is more effective and engaged.
  • Continue transformation of systems and processes around service delivery, both functionally and clinically.
  • Advance SE Health’s analytics capability to enable better decision-making and to shape future service offerings.

2. Design, develop and implement a “digital front door” for clients to access a range of life care programs and services.

3. Act as strategic advisor for acquisition and investment opportunities to shape the “digital front door”, augment current and future life care programs and services, and/or bolster SE Health’s impact as a social enterprise.
