The Role
As a (Senior) Account Executive at Lucanet, you will own your territory and build your Tax business across the DACH region. You manage the entire sales cycle — from identifying and developing new opportunities through to closing the deal. You define your pipeline strategy, shape your outreach approach and take full accountability for your commercial results. You operate like an entrepreneur in your market — proactively creating pipeline, testing new approaches, iterating on your strategy and driving growth with a strong sense of ownership. This role is ideal for someone who thinks and acts like a business owner: you see a market, you build a plan, you execute. Along the way, you will present our innovative tax technology to senior decision-makers, develop lasting customer relationships and collaborate closely with respected partners, including the Big 4.
What you'll do
- Proactively identify, develop and close new business opportunities across your DACH territory through targeted outreach and strategic prospecting.
- Build and execute your own pipeline strategy — you decide where to focus, how to engage and how to win. Our Marketing and Business Development teams will support you with demand generation and qualified opportunities, but ultimate ownership of your pipeline sits with you. Actively create opportunities by running your own high‑impact prospecting activities and shaping the GTM moves needed to drive your pipeline forward.
- Understand the specific challenges of prospective customers and design tailored solution concepts that address their business needs.
- Structure and negotiate deals with C-level stakeholders, with the freedom to shape commercial terms within defined guardrails.
- Manage the full sales process end-to-end — from first contact to signed contract — and reliably deliver against your targets.
- Partner with our Solution Engineering team, who bring deep tax domain expertise, to ensure customers receive comprehensive technical guidance.
- Work flexibly, either remotely or from one of our locations in Germany.
What you bring to the table
- Proven track record in B2B SaaS, software or IT solution sales, ideally in a hunter or new business role.
- A business-owner mentality — you take initiative, hold yourself accountable and don't wait for direction.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, particularly when engaging with C-level decision-makers.
- Experience in the finance, tax or accounting industry is a significant advantage.
- Fluent German and business-level English.
- A degree in business administration, finance or an equivalent qualification.
- Willingness to travel within the region as needed.
- A professional network in SaaS, finance or compliance across DACH is a plus.
