A cloud data engineer would be needed to take over the current external ownership of the customer analytics backbone (the customer journey application), drive further development and ensure maintenance of the data infrastructure. 

 

What to expect:

 

Continuously optimize, develop, and scale data lake processes and applications 

Drive further connection between the AWS environment and other systems (CRM tools, Digital platforms, Customer Care systems) 

Ensure correct roll-out of ML models and their maintenance 

Define and implement data quality assurance methods  

Participate to the team data strategy, its implementation and data management approach  

 

To be successful you need to have:

 

BA degree in computer science preferred or equivalent education 

3+ years’ experience in a Data Engineer role or similar position 

Relevant experience in Ecommerce and/or Payment industry 

Understanding of the Hadoop ecosystem (e.g.Spark, MapReduce, Hive) 

Experience with cloud computing (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure) 

Good knowledge of Linux / Bash Scripts 

You have experience with SQL and management of relational databases 

Strong command of English  

Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

Strong initiative and dedication to quality 

Self-motivation and self-reliance 

Adaptable, flexible, and willingness to embrace change
