Synopsys is a worldwide leading supplier of semiconductor IP, which is used by our customers to design semiconductor integrated circuits. The product portfolio includes IP components and subsystems for Security, USB, DDR, PCIe/CXL, CPU cores, processor peripherals, embedded memories and much more. For the Security IP team, we are looking for a senior verification engineer who will fill a lead verification role in the development of new digital IP cores and subsystems to extend the portfolio for Security IP. This is an extremely challenging and exciting position because the products cover significant functionality, consist of hardware and embedded software, and have a large user configuration space. Synopsys is a pioneer in the industry of ASIC verification technology and the senior verification engineer is expected to take advantage of this to implement state-of-the-art verification in an effective way. We are looking to fill this position in the Synopsys office in Eindhoven.

Key responsibilities

  • Drive the functional and performance verification of complex IP and subsystem products
  • Develop product test strategy, test specification and test plan
  • Contribute to test implementation, automation, and development of automated regression
  • Product debug and cooperation with design engineers and architects to resolve found defects
  • Generating test reports and report test status during product development
  • Keep abreast of state-of-the-art in verification methodology and tools
  • Liaison with the Verification Group within Synopsys regarding Verification Continuum
  • Bsc or Msc in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with 8+ years of experience
  • Significant proven experience in verification of digital hardware IP components
  • Experience with modern verification methodologies including UVM, assertion-based verification, coverage based methodology and formal verification
  • Good understanding about IC Design flows and excellent problem solving and debugging skills
  • Experience with verification flow automation and scripting including Linux shell , JavaScript, Python, TCL and Perl
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
  • Good technical helicopter view and excellent systematic mindset
