Are you passionate about the chance to bring your extensive technical experience to drive the Engineering team using industry best practices in a world class company? We are hiring for multiple Architects for our new Shared Service Center in Mexico City who will be responsible to the overall design and architecture of our current and cloud suite of products. We are expanding our global Shared Service Centre footprint by establishing a new Shared Service Center in Mexico City to serve the Americas (North America and LatAm) with roles representing product, technology, sales operations, inside sales, customer service and finance. This new Shared Service Center will build on the existing established Centers in Asia (India and The Philippines), Europe (Poland) and Americas (Costa Rica). 

 

As an Architect at Thomson Reuters, you will be driving the overall design and solutioning for products built by a large, globally dispersed group of dedicated engineers. You will be directly accountable for the technical success of our current products while also defining, innovating, and supporting the delivery on our next generation cloud audit offering.

About You 

In your role as Architect you will:  

Influence technology and business teams in the design of durable and efficient solutions 

Architect software systems and solutions for [product space / area] 

Provide technical leadership supporting business initiatives and functional requirements.

Champion non-functional requirements (e.g. security, scalability, monitoring, etc.) .

Keep abreast of new technology and advancements in technical domain.

Drive proof-of-concept work around new approaches and technologies 

Participate in the community of architects on standards, guidelines, and practices

Promote learning and collaboration amongst teams 

Mentor others interested in architecture, systems, design, influence, and leadership 

 

You’re a fit for this role if: 

You have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, related field, or equivalent experience 

Deep technical understanding of cloud-native architecture and engineering best practices 

Experience in building, monitoring, and troubleshooting microservices at scale. Good understanding of AWS services and their applications. 

Understanding of microservices architectural patterns like Event Sourcing, CQRS and Domain Driven Design 

Well versed with microservices and application security. Working knowledge of OAuth2.0 is desirable 

Hands-on experience with .Net/C#, ASP.Net or Java 

Designed and developed applications that leverage relational databases as well as NoSQL databases 

Proficient with DevOps concepts and tools (eg Chef, Puppet, Kubernetes, and Docker) 

Understand systems monitoring for cloud native architectures, such as alerting and analytics (eg Nagios, Datadog etc.)
