Session: What’s the Future of Work?

As we navigate this global pandemic, the future of work is changing and permanently transforming the way we work, learn, connect and simply live in community with each other. Diana will discuss what are the challenges and opportunities ahead of us and how this change is going to impact women in tech.


Bio: Diana Stefanova

Diana is a well-seasoned executive with over 20 years of professional experience in a variety of areas like general management, corporate and business development, business & R&D operations and finance. She brings a significant industry experience with a deep focus in high-tech, from start-ups all the way to well-established corporations, like VMware, both in the Silicon Valley, USA and in EMEA.
As a Managing Director for VMware, Diana leads VMware’s R&D centers for Europe and the Middle East, which employ over 1,000 professionals. During her career at VMware, Diana has actively worked on improving the business climate and the ecosystem in Bulgaria. As of December 2019, she has taken a new role of Vice President of Global Site Strategy and is responsible for driving a cohesive strategy spanning across VMware global sites.
Prior to VMware, Diana was part of the leadership team at one of the first technology companies in Bulgaria, Sciant, later successfully sold to VMware. She joined Sciant after returning from Silicon Valley, where she worked in the management teams of a couple of technology startups.
Diana has a Master’s degree in finance and accounting from the University of National and World Economy, Sofia and holds a certified public accountant certificate from California, US.
She is also a Venture Partner at the newest venture fund in Bulgaria BrightCap Ventures.
