Session: Framework for managing variable cost of Cloud

With significant inflation putting pressure on many businesses, organization are looking inward for opportunities to reduce spending or improve efficiency. Cloud spend is both an operating expense but can be used as a lever to unlock immediate savings. The FinOps Foundation would like to introduce FinOps - a evolving cloud financial management discipline and cultural practice that helps enables organizations to get maximum business value by helping engineering, finance and business teams to collaborate on data-driven spending decisions.

We will provide an overview of the FinOps Framework and walk you through an open source assessment to evaluate where you are on your FinOps adoption journey.

Bio

Ashley Hromatko is the VP of Operations at the FinOps Foundation. She leads the Enterprise Member Program, which works with organizations to build, strengthen and accelerate large-scale Enterprise adoption of FinOps Practices. Ashley was a charter foundation member and a volunteer that served on the original Governing Board and Technical Advisory Council. Before joining the Foundation, Ashley built and led a global FinOps practice for a large education company, Pearson. She is passionate about accelerating the adoption, advancing capability maturity, and growing talent around FinOps.
