Session: Small Business: The new frontier for integrated marketing technologies
For most small businesses (SMBs) and entrepreneurs, marketing is not their primary skill set. And if they don’t have the budget or in-house talent to carry out the task, it becomes a problem. A 2019 report notes that more than 58 percent of small business owners spend five hours or less on marketing each week, and that can be a barrier to revenue growth.
Jill's presentation will address how new integrated marketing technologies can help small businesses and entrepreneurs automate their marketing efforts to get more marketing done in less time. A simple example: the SMB has set up a website using content created in a content creation and distribution system from assets in a digital asset storage tool like Dropbox or Google Drive. If the digital asset storage system is integrated with an email system such as MailChimp, then MailChimp can automatically send an email out when a customer registers on the website. The content system can also multiply the value of a single piece of content into assets for social, email, blogs, mobile and more, saving SMBs a significant amount of time and effort in engaging with more customers.
