Session: Building Effective Mentorship Programs
This session presents strategies for building effective mentorship programs that can be applied at multiple levels, from mentoring colleagues at the team level, to building programs across the organization, to inspiring the next generation of engineers through outreach. Mentoring programs are valuable tools for promoting inclusion and career development, particularly for women and other underrepresented groups in STEM fields. Leveraging learnings from existing mentoring initiatives at Intel, we will highlight key elements important for creating productive and fulfilling mentorship programs with high success rates.This recording is not available yet.
Bio: Kaiann Fu
Kaiann Fu is a 5G Signal Processing Engineering Manager in Intel’s Next Generation & Standards (NGS) Group where her team develops 5G modem physical-layer signal-processing algorithms for hardware implementation. She leads the NGS Women’s Initiative to support NGS women career growth through career development sessions, networking, mentoring, technical talks, etc. Prior to Intel, she developed signal-processing algorithms at Northrop Grumman for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance programs. Kaiann holds Ph.D., M.S.E, and B.S.E. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Michigan. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, watching wildlife, the symphony, and college football.
