Bio
Maithri Venkat leads the next-generation cell selection, qualification processes, and facilitates key supplier partnerships for Lucid Motors' Gravity SUV platform. She also manages the engineering team for Battery Cell Lifetime and Parameterization, delivering cutting-edge battery technologies that enhance long-term performance and enable advanced state estimation algorithms. Her technical expertise spans cell material evaluation, design tradeoff assessments, performance optimization, and new product introduction. At Lucid, she established the company's first battery inspection lab, implementing advanced quality control systems and scalable protocols to enhance cell reliability and production efficiency. Prior to Lucid, Maithri contributed to high-energy cell development at XALT Energy, benchmarking cell designs and collaborating with leading OEMs and national laboratories on USABC 12V start/stop battery programs.

Driven by a passion for innovation and global impact, I am a Technical Product Manager in the battery manufacturing industry, focused on advancing electric vehicle development at PDF Solutions. With a background in logistics, software, and project management, I bring both technical insight and strategic creativity to the energy and mobility sectors.
As the Women in Batteries Lead and Marketing/Strategy Lead at Volta Foundation, I champion collaboration and community-building to address critical challenges in the battery space. From pro-bono consulting to building impactful programs, I’m dedicated to empowering others and accelerating the transition to a greener, tech-driven future.
Dana Bubonovich
Dana Bubonovich is the Director of Marketing & Communications at Volta Foundation, the world's largest network of battery professionals dedicated to advancing the battery ecosystem.
Prior to Volta Foundation, Dana's career centered itself around executive leadership and strategy, global social media and digital marketing, eCommerce solutions, brand management, workforce development and event management for companies like Our Next Energy (ONE), Brembo, DRiV, Federal-Mogul Motorparts and Argonne National Laboratory.
Dana received her Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Penn State University, where she was president of the Lawrence G. Foster Chapter of PRSSA and founded Penn State's student-run PR firm, Happy Valley Communications. She holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication with a Concentration in Public Relations from Kent State University.
She is also an active member of the Chief of Staff Association and is Level 1 certified after completion of the Oxford University Educational Programme.
Ying Shi is a seasoned battery systems expert and Senior Manager of Battery Software at Lucid Motors, where she leads advancements in smart, resilient, and high-performance EV battery technologies. With over a decade of experience spanning battery modeling, BMS control, and energy storage systems for both grid and automotive applications, she has contributed to innovations at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory and across multiple global OEMs.
Ying holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Penn State University and is passionate about pushing the boundaries of battery performance to accelerate the transition to sustainable transportation.
