As the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Medtronic, I lead the company’s digital transformation, ensuring it remains at the forefront of innovation in the healthcare technology industry. With over 25 years of experience in CIO and CTO roles at Fortune 50 companies such as McKesson, Southern California Edison, Toyota, and Tata Steel, I have honed my expertise in digital transformation, AI/ML, data analytics, enterprise architecture, and strategic planning. Recognized as 100 Executive Women in Technology, I am committed to leveraging technology for business success while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. My story is one of resilience, leadership, and transformation—both personal and professional.
Bio
Rashmi is the Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Medtronic, where she is responsible for digital business transformation across the company. She has over 30 years of experience in digital transformation, AI/ML, data and analytics, strategic planning, large-scale business process transformations, and operations.
She previously led the global IT team at Hewlett Packard Enterprises (HPE) as Senior Vice President and CIO, overseeing large scale digital transformation programs. Rashmi has also served as CIO and CTO for Fortune 50 companies including McKesson, Southern California Edison, Toyota, HPE, and Tata Steel. She is on the Board of Directors for Myriad Genetics.
Rashmi holds a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from BIT Sindri in India and an MBA from the University of California, Irvine.
