Bio: Tineke Bakker - van der Veen
Tineke Bakker – van der Veen has recently founded her own consultancy company, Blue DragonFly Consultancy (BDFC), which helps companies to create and implement strategies related to innovation, government affairs, crisis management and sustainability. With sustainability not only from the technical perspective, but also looking at the resource/personal sustainability of a company.
Tineke has over 15 years of experience in the international Aerospace Industry. Tineke was named Managing Director of Boeing Benelux & Nordics in April 2017. Based in Amsterdam, she was responsible for coordinating all company business activities across the region.
Before joining Boeing, Tineke worked for GKN Fokker Technologies as Gulfstream Programme Director. In this role she was responsible for all the products build for the Gulfstream jets in the Netherlands. Before this she held several senior roles at Airbus Defence and Space in Leiden, such as Head of New Business and Business Unit Manager Instruments and Systems.
Tineke has worked in different business development and project management roles for Fokker. And she also fulfilled several engineering, operations and project management roles at Rolls-Royce in the UK.
Tineke has a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Technology in Delft and has completed the Strategic Leadership Programme at Nijenrode Business University.
She is actively involved in numerous mentoring programmes and has a passion for STEM and has the aim to inspire young talent including her own kids, who are 10 and 8 years old. She has received several awards for her work related to STEM and inspiring the next generation, including Top 50 Most Inspiring Women in Tech in NL (Inspiring 50), MT Next 50 Leadership Award and the Martin Schröder Enterpreneurship award.
