Session: Eat, Pray, Tech
Eat, Pray, Tech is a fireside chat with Victoria Lee and Christine Park. Join them as they discuss their experiences as Asian-American women working in the American tech industry, then taking time off to travel before deciding to live in Cologne/Berlin and work abroad in the German start-up scene. These are their personal stories and lessons learned.
Victoria is a Senior Product Manager at SumUp, responsible for the Consumer Wallet product that SumUp is offering to their consumer audience. With a lot of experience in the fintech world, she is passionate about building products to help people experience something different in their lives, whether it's making their lives more enriching, more efficient, or more fun.
She started her career at BlackRock and worked in Data Analytics and Project Management roles before finding her passion in Product Management. After Wall Street, she did a 1.5 year travel sabbatical before landing in Berlin’s startup scene in 2018. Before SumUp, she also worked at Quandoo, Billie.io and Sauce Labs.
Christine is a Senior Product Designer at SumUp, focusing on products that connect merchants to customers, such as Payment Links, Gift Cards and QR codes. Her design journey has led her through many experiences, including stints at iHeartRadio, Birchbox and trivago. Her newfound passion is fighting for diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and she is most inspired by women uplifting other women.
