Session: Enhancing Accessibility for All in Era of Autonomous Robots and Smart Cities
As technology advances, we are witnessing robots moving beyond their traditional confines of factory floors or military applications and integrating into our everyday environments. From patrolling streets to facilitating deliveries, these robots have become smaller and more autonomous over time. Interestingly, the very same technologies driving this evolution hold promise for enhancing accessibility for visually impaired individuals.
Bio
I am a robotics engineer with a PhD. After having completed my studied at The Technical University of Munich, I came to Japan to have my PhD in University of Tokyo on self-localization for hand-held devices and mobile robots. Afterwards, I have joined ZMP Japan to work on visually impaired people navigation app, delivery and warehouse robots.
