WomenTech Network is hosting the third edition of the largest virtual tech conference for women, minorities, and their allies in tech, Women in Tech Global Conference 2022 June 7-10.

The conference is aiming at uniting once again 100 000 women in tech from all over the world to drive change with purpose and impact.

The theme for this year’s conference is evolving around Technology Leadership, Tech Innovation, Career Growth, and how we can make an impact and shape the future together. All the tracks and topics are here.


Track Chairs Roles & Responsibilities: 

  • Sharing about the call for speakers and that you are joining WTGC2022 as a Track Chair;
  • Evaluating submissions received;
  • Optional: Potentially recruiting speakers when a critical piece of the program remains unfilled

Additionally Track Chairs will have the chance to join the conference and moderate some of the sessions. (Optional)

Timeline:

  • Track Chairs evaluating submissions received (5-10 hours - latest until March 31st)

  • Featured in the Global Conference moderator slides
  • Featured on the Global Conference page

Data Protection and Confidentiality Clause

  1. Compliance with Data Protection Laws: The Track Chair acknowledges and agrees to comply fully with all applicable data protection laws and regulations, including but not limited to US federal and state laws and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for European Union citizens. This includes ensuring all personal data is processed lawfully, fairly, and transparently, without adversely affecting the rights of the data subjects.

  2. Purpose of Data Use: The Track Chair agrees to use the personal data provided solely for the purpose of fulfilling their responsibilities in relation to the Women in Tech Global Conference. This includes, but is not limited to, communication with speakers, scheduling of sessions, and coordination of conference activities. The Track Chair shall not use the data for any unrelated or commercial purposes.

  3. Confidentiality: The Track Chair shall treat all personal data as strictly confidential. The information must not be disclosed to any third party without the express consent of the data subject or as per the lawful basis established under applicable data protection laws.

  4. Data Security: The Track Chair is responsible for implementing and maintaining adequate security measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Immediate notification to the conference organizers is required in the event of any breach or suspected breach of data security.

  5. Data Retention and Disposal: Personal data should be retained only for as long as necessary for the purposes of the conference and in compliance with any legal or regulatory obligations. Upon the completion of the Track Chair's role or after the event, whichever comes first, the data must be securely deleted or returned as per the instructions of the conference organizers.

  6. Training and Awareness: The Track Chair agrees to participate in any training provided by the organizers related to data protection and to stay informed about their responsibilities under data protection laws.

  7. Liability and Enforcement: The Track Chair acknowledges that non-compliance with this clause and applicable data protection laws may result in disciplinary action, which could include termination from the Track Chair role, legal action, and potential personal liability.

  8. Reporting: Any questions, concerns, or violations related to data protection can be reported to [insert contact information of Data Protection Officer or relevant contact person].

By signing this form, the Track Chair acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with the above Data Protection and Confidentiality Clause.
