    Reflecting on My Journey

As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?

Being recognized as a winner at the Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 is deeply meaningful to me. It represents not only a milestone in my professional journey but also a validation of the years I have dedicated to designing technology that genuinely improves people's lives, especially in the retail sector, where innovation directly impacts millions of workers and customers.

This recognition reflects the purpose behind my work: building solutions that bring efficiency, dignity, and digital access to industries that often lag in transformation. It also honors the journey of a Latina founder and product builder who entered the technology world without a formal tech background, yet refused to let that limit her ability to lead innovation at scale.

For me, this award symbolizes resilience, impact, and the incredible power of representation.

    Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects

In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?

The most rewarding part of working in tech is seeing how ideas become tools that solve real problems. Technology can create immediate, visible change, from improving operations in a store to making work easier and more human for employees who depend on reliable systems to do their jobs.

This sense of purpose has guided every step of my career. It pushed me to found Biwitech, to build products that perform on the retail floor, and to focus on solutions that merge innovation with practicality. Knowing that something I designed can help a business grow, simplify processes, or create opportunities for digital inclusion continues to be my greatest motivation.

    My Tech Career Milestone

Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?

A defining moment for me was launching the first complete ecosystem of Biwitech products, self-service, POS, digital signage, and smart labeling within a major retail chain and seeing adoption happen quickly on the store floor.

Another meaningful milestone was publishing my book, How to Implement Self-Service Without Failing. Writing it allowed me to share years of practical experience in a structured, accessible way for retailers and technology teams. What impacted me most was receiving messages from professionals who cited it as a reference for their own implementations. Realizing that my work could help others avoid common mistakes and make better decisions was far more meaningful than the publication itself.

Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips

From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?

In my view, the main message I would share with women entering the technology industry is that you don't need a traditional technical background to lead and make an impact. Curiosity, resilience, and a commitment to continuous learning can take you further than any predefined path. What really shapes a career in technology is the ability to solve meaningful problems when you focus on impact rather than titles; opportunities tend to follow.

More than most people realize, visibility matters. Sharing your work, insights, and progress can unlock doors you never knew existed. Innovation is deeply human, which is why leading with empathy and conviction matters; the best solutions come from understanding the people and communities who rely on them.

And most importantly, surround yourself with women who lift others as they rise. A strong network can become one of the greatest accelerators in this field. If at any point you feel you don't belong in tech, take it as a sign that you're pushing boundaries and breaking ground where your voice is needed most.

Who would you recommend to join the WomenTech Network, and why?

I would recommend WomenTech Network to any woman at any stage of her career seeking community, mentorship, and global visibility. WomenTech is a space where diverse voices are not only welcomed but elevated. It offers opportunities to grow, contribute, and be recognized in an industry that still needs more representation, especially from women innovators and founders.

For me, WomenTech has been a platform of connection, empowerment, and purpose. I encourage every woman in tech, or aspiring to enter tech, to join this network and experience the same support and inspiration.
