    Reflecting on My Journey

As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?

This recognition means a great deal to me because it gives me a moment to pause and truly see the bigger picture of my journey. Most days, I’m deep in architecture decisions, solving complex performance issues, and supporting teams through large-scale system modernization. It often feels like “just doing my job,” but moments like this remind me that the work reaches far beyond my daily tasks.

This award transforms years of quiet, consistent effort into something visible and valued. It shows that the systems I’ve modernized, the engineering practices I’ve improved, and the teams I’ve mentored have created real, lasting impact - not only inside my organization, but across the broader tech community.

It’s both humbling and inspiring to have this contribution recognized globally. It tells me that perseverance becomes influence, that purpose-driven work matters, and that building reliable, scalable systems can truly improve people’s lives. This recognition encourages me to continue pushing boundaries, lifting others, and using technology to create meaningful change.

    Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects

In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?

The most rewarding part of working in tech is realizing how far-reaching impact can be. On one level, it comes from solving complex architectural challenges and modernizing high-scale systems that organizations and users rely on every day. But just as meaningful is the impact that happens through people - seeing someone I’ve mentored grow in confidence, take on challenges they once avoided, or step into leadership because I supported them. Those moments stay with me.

This combination of technical and human impact has shaped my entire career. It led me toward roles where I can influence not only the design of critical systems, but also the engineering culture and the growth of the teams building them. Helping others unlock their potential is one of the most powerful ways to create long-lasting change, and it motivates me to keep sharing knowledge and raising standards across the organizations I work with.

Tech gives us the rare privilege of shaping both the products that serve millions and the people who move our industry forward. Being able to contribute meaningfully to both is what inspires me every day.

    My Tech Career Milestone

Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?

A defining moment in my career was leading a large engineering initiative focused on improving the scalability, performance, and long-term resilience of a complex product. The work required clear architectural vision, thoughtful decision-making, and close collaboration across many teams. Seeing those improvements come to life in production - and knowing they would support future innovation - was incredibly meaningful to me.

What made the experience truly impactful, however, was watching the people around me grow through the process. Engineers I mentored began taking on more challenging responsibilities, contributing to system-level decisions, and stepping into leadership roles with confidence. Realizing that I could influence both the technical direction and the development of the people driving that direction helped shape how I see my role today.

This experience reinforced something important: meaningful impact in tech comes from strengthening systems and empowering the teams behind them. Contributing to both is what motivates me to continue learning, leading, and building with purpose.

Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips

From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?

My biggest advice is to trust that you belong in this industry. Tech moves quickly, and it’s easy to feel like you’re not fully ready - but confidence grows through action. Take the opportunity even if you feel only partly prepared; you’ll learn far more by stepping into the challenge than by waiting for the perfect moment.

Stay curious and commit to building strong skills, but also invest in the people around you. Ask questions without hesitation, seek mentors who encourage your growth, and surround yourself with a community that supports your ambitions. And as you progress, lift others with you. Teaching and supporting someone who is just starting out is one of the most powerful ways to expand your own impact.

Most importantly, don’t hide your achievements. Your work, your ideas, and your perspective bring real value - not just to your team, but to the broader tech community. Visibility isn’t bragging; it’s leadership. Speak up, take space, and pursue the opportunities that excite you. A meaningful career in tech is built through courage, continuous learning, and the belief that your contribution truly matters.

Who would you recommend to join the WomenTech Network, and why?

I would recommend the WomenTech Network to anyone who wants to grow, connect, and feel truly supported in their tech journey - whether they are taking their first steps in the industry or already leading teams. It’s a community where your voice is valued, your achievements are recognized, and your potential is seen even on the days when you don’t fully see it yourself.

Sometimes we move so quickly in tech that we forget to acknowledge how far we’ve come or how much impact we’ve created. WomenTech has a remarkable ability to reflect that back to you. And trust me - confidence often grows fastest when someone else believes in you even more than you believe in yourself. This community does exactly that: it lifts you, encourages you, and reminds you that you belong here.

It’s also a powerful space for experienced engineers and leaders who want to expand their influence by giving back. Sharing your expertise, your challenges, and the lessons you’ve learned can genuinely change someone else’s path - and strengthen the industry as a whole. In many ways, contributing to a global network like this becomes an extension of your impact and leadership.

Anyone who wants to feel inspired, supported, and connected to a worldwide community that celebrates women’s achievements - and amplifies their contributions - would benefit immensely from joining WomenTech.

Thank you again for the recognition and for the work you do to empower women globally. I am honored to be part of this community.
