Reflecting on My Journey
As a Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 winner, what does this recognition mean to you, and how does it reflect your journey and impact in tech?
Winning the Women in Tech Global Awards 2025 is truly meaningful to me. It feels like a recognition not only of my work in technology, but of the many moments of perseverance, learning, and growth along the way. It reminds me of the challenges I faced early in my career, and how important it has been to stay determined, stay curious, and continue showing up — even in rooms where women were rarely seen.
This award also reflects the people who have supported me and those I now have the privilege to support. Mentoring young women through programs like Women in STEM, INSTEM, and STEM for Her has become one of the most rewarding parts of my journey. Helping others believe they belong in this field and watching them succeed means more to me than any technical milestone.
To be recognized among inspiring women from around the world reinforces why I do this work: to build secure and ethical technology that protects people, and to open more doors for women in tech. It encourages me to keep pushing boundaries, keep elevating others, and keep shaping a more inclusive future for the next generation of innovators.
Tech Industry's Most Rewarding Aspects
In your experience, what is the most rewarding aspect of working in the tech industry, and how has it influenced your career path?
For me, the most rewarding part of working in tech is the ability to solve real problems that impact people’s everyday lives. Technology is always evolving, and that constant innovation keeps me energized and curious. I love that there’s always something new to learn whether it’s a breakthrough in AI or a fresh approach to building more secure systems.
What has influenced my career the most is seeing how technology can create meaningful change, especially in healthcare and financial services. Knowing that the work I do can improve experiences, strengthen trust, and help individuals and communities thrive that’s what motivates me every day.
My Tech Career Milestone
Could you share a defining moment or a key achievement in your tech career that has been particularly impactful or meaningful to you?
A defining moment in my tech journey was the first time I mentored a young woman who was unsure whether she belonged in this field. Watching her confidence grow, seeing her land her first role in tech, and knowing I played even a small part in that success was incredibly meaningful.
That experience shifted how I viewed my purpose. It reminded me that impact isn’t only measured through innovation or technology—it’s also measured through the people we uplift along the way. Empowering others, especially women and underrepresented innovators, has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my career and a driving force behind everything I do.
Empowering Women in Tech: Real Stories, Career Advice, and Tips
From your experience, what essential advice and practical tips would you offer to women aspiring to establish a successful career in tech?
The best advice I can offer to women pursuing a career in tech is to trust yourself. We often feel like we need to have every skill mastered before taking the next step, but tech is all about learning as you go. Don’t be afraid to take chances, even if they feel uncomfortable at first.
Find people who believe in you: mentors, role models, and peers who encourage you to stretch a little further. Having someone in your corner can make all the difference when you’re figuring out your path.
Stay curious. Ask questions. Try new things. Tech changes so fast, and there’s always something new to explore, and that’s what makes it exciting.
And most importantly, don’t dim your voice. Your ideas and your perspective matter more than you know. The industry needs diverse thinkers, and you belong here just as much as anyone else.
Who would you recommend to join the WomenTech Network, and why?
I’d recommend the WomenTech Network to anyone who wants to grow, connect, and feel supported in their tech journey. It’s especially valuable for women who are looking for a community that truly understands the challenges and excitement of working in this industry.
What I love is that it brings together people from so many different backgrounds and careers. You can learn from others’ experiences, share your own wins and struggles, and find mentors, collaborators, and friends along the way.
It’s uplifting to be part of a global network where your ideas are encouraged and your voice matters. Tech needs more diverse talent shaping what comes next, and WomenTech Network is helping make that happen.
