Marilia graduated as Computer Engineering from UNICAMP, and MBA from FGV (Fundação Getúlio Vargas). You may be wondering what an engineer had to do with Human Resources, and how she got so involved with Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I).
She started working in the tech industry in 1996, and she has always expressed a passion for working with people in a fair environment, and has often contributed to HR initiatives. Marilia led hiring, employee engagement, employer branding, diversity and inclusion, and sustainability at CI&T from 2013 to 2020. The intersection of data and people is her happy place. She speaks People analytics and technology fluently.
Marilia created the CI&T Institute in 2017. The institute’s goal is to empower people through technical training, especially for those who may not have easy access to technology. CI&T employees have the opportunity to volunteer as trainers and, therefore, give a little back to the society.
As a purpose-driven professional, an accomplished IT systems development leader with experience in agile methodologies, global project and team management, Marilia has demonstrated success in digital marketing engagements in complex and dynamic enterprise environments for many clients. She’s an expert in process optimization and collaborating with business partners to reduce costs.
She is an experienced senior project manager, certified Employer Brand Leader, DE&I agent of change, and recently completed the Sustainable Business Strategy from Harvard Business School. Her goal as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) advocate is to get more people and companies engaged on how firms can be a source of good for the world.
