The Transformation and Operations team drives innovation and transformation at Akamai within the Cloud Technology Group. This team drives broad changes in Agile Best Practices, Portfolio Management, Reporting, and PMO standards and practices. We develop and evolve these areas as well as drive and deliver key cross-organizational strategic programs.

As a Senior Manager Program Management Strategy & Operations, you will lead the definition and execution of complex transformation programs. You will oversee major transformation initiatives, and drive consistency and scalability in our Agile coaching practice.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Managing and coaching a team of agile coaches and program managers from multiple geographies
• Guiding the development of change management strategies to drive towards business objectives
• Serving as a point of contact for escalation with stakeholders and assisting in removal of blockers
• Monitoring the overall health of projects and program within your portfolio
• Negotiating program scope definition , modification and working with program sponsors to prepare for executive presentations.
• Participating in internal projects that help scale the group, implement best practices, and improve methodologies.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• 8 years of relevant experience and a Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent
• Be comfortable navigating ambiguity, handling risks, and shifting gears as needed
• Have experience Inspiring people at all levels of the organization without authority
• Demonstrate ability in change management and transformation processes
• Have significant experience in Agile processes and methodologies.
• Possess one of the following: SAFe SPC (our preference); certified Agile coach ICP-ACC or similar
• Have professional experience as a Project Manager/Program Manager working effectively with cross-functional teams
• Demonstrate great interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as excellent presentation and communication skills

Compensation

Akamai is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this position ranges from $134,466 - $214,782/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
