Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:
• Own and deliver medium-sized quality engineering tasks while mentoring and helping team members,
• Make technology choices at individual level and analyze impact,
• Apply principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, Continuos Integration, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
• Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process.
• Work with fellow team members to diagnose bugs and formulate solutions
• Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project
• Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

  • Minimum 7 + years of experience into Automation and Manual Testing.

Technical Expertise:

  • Experience in test automation JavaScript, Typescript, Python or other scripting language.

  • Experience in Web as well as Windows based technologies.

  • Expertise in Test Automation tools & frameworks with one or more  of: Squish, SoapUI tools, HP Load Runner, JMeter, Cyprus, or similar.

Desired Skillset:

  • Knowledge of Continuos Integration /Continuos Development tools like Jenkins.

  • Knowledge of test or defect management tools like HP ALM, Polarion, JIRA or similar.

  • Knowledge of databases and ability to use SQL queries.

  • ISTQB certificate.

  • Has experience in testing web services.

  • Has experience with issue-tracking and agile project management systems.

  • Has experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

  • Has experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure.
