From my perspective, the contributory factor is from the lack of knowledge. Women most times feel, that a salary raise is not a right of the employee to ask but employer to give. So knowing that, a performer can initiate the conversation and drive it to logical result is key. And this I presume must be in agreement of the HR advisor.
