You are still a data engineer/ backend developer/ UI-UX developer or any role that you do, no matter your title has a company name tagged to it or not. We should be known by our skills and abilities rather than the organization we belong to. Your hands-on experience across your personal projects equally counts when you mention the years of experience in a skill. You can always mention it as non prod experience if you want to explain it further that you've had hands-on experience with personal projects.
