As a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE), you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing the operation of Akamai's Enterprise Application Access (EAA) solution. Your primary responsibilities will involve maintaining and enhancing the distributed infrastructure platform that powers EAA, ensuring its smooth operation and availability on a global scale.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems on the ZTNA Cloud Platform.
• Analyzing and improving the security, stability, speed, and capacity of Akamai's Zero Trust production network.
• Developing and implement procedures for automating SRE and operations tasks, streamlining day-to-day work.
• Monitoring service health and promptly handling alerts to ensure quick resolution and SLA adherence.
• Estimating cloud usage costs and implementing operational cost control mechanisms.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have expertise in cloud services, including experience with AWS (EC2, Route53, S3, IAM, VPC using Boto/Boto3).
• Be proficient in managing Kubernetes services and experience with deployment and configuration management tools.
• Experience working with Linux (Ubuntu) and large-scale cloud-based infrastructures.
• Be familiar with Monitoring/Logging/Performance Analytics tools such as VictoriaMetrics, Grafana, Prometheus, Logstash, Kibana, or DataDog.
• Have experience with OpenSearch/ElasticSearch cluster setup and maintenance.
• Be proficient in setting up, configuring, and maintaining load balancers, Nginx/Apache proxies, and common infrastructure components.
