RINA is currently recruiting for a Junior Software Application Engineer to join its office in Genoa, Turin, Rome, La Spezia (Italy) within the Operating Engine Division.​

Mission

We are currently looking for junior or entry-level candidates to join our teams in Genoa, Rome, Turin or La Spezia. The ideal candidate has a background in software development and a strong passion for building scalable, maintainable, and efficient applications. The Software Application Engineer focuses on designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications that align with our business needs. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX/UI designers, and software developers, to deliver high-quality solutions to our customers. 

Key Accountabilities

Software Development:

 - Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to software development best practices.

Testing and Deployment:

 - Write automated tests to ensure the quality of applications and enhance test coverage.
-  Debug the implemented application software 
-  Analyze and solve detected problems implementing the needed corrections

Documentation:

- Maintain technical documentation and diagrams related to the software applications.

Support and Maintenance:

 - Technical support to customers and internal teams as needed.
 - Debug and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.

Continuous Improvement:

- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends.
 - Identify and propose improvements to existing software applications and development processes.
 - Actively participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software applications.
  • Communicate technical concepts and ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems

Master’s Degree in Engineering General

Qualifications

 

  • 0/1 years of experience
  • Accademic knowledge of C/C++,  C#
  • Accademic knowledge of requirements management and design tools (e.g. UML-based tools).
  • Accademic knowledge of database technologies (SQL and NoSQL databases).
  • Understanding of software engineering life cycle and development best practices, including Agile methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (e.g., Git).
