Our Analytics team is looking for a Senior Data Analyst to help us uncover deep insight into our customer and user engagement across the product portfolio, and deliver relevant and measurable intelligence to leadership. Our goal is maturing the analytic capabilities of our sales organization, and realizing what is possible with the incredible amount of business, user, and customer data New Relic generates.

As a motivated self-starter you will be able to work in a fast faced, ambiguous environment. Proven attention to detail and an extensive eye for business will allow you to work efficiently with business partners across Marketing and Sales, Product and Engineering to build business narratives and metrics for success. Additionally, you will define and test hypotheses, and deliver practical insights through data visualizations. You will succeed by having an eye on the big picture and being able to challenge the status quo. Ask the hard questions to ensure investment of time and resources is warranted. 
What you'll do
  • Work with leaders to develop roadmaps that empower our customer facing teams to deliver results. This includes both operational projects (metrics, reporting, visualizations) as well as insights and data science led strategic projects.
  • Independently scope and drive key projects that anticipate the needs of executive leadership
  • Conduct advanced data analysis using statistical methods, machine learning, and other data science techniques to identify opportunities for optimizing the sales strategy for our product.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales teams to understand customer behavior, market trends, and competitive landscape, providing actionable insights to inform sales tactics.
  • Develop predictive models and algorithms to forecast trends, customer churn, and other key performance indicators that influence product & sales.
  • Create and maintain data visualizations, dashboards, and reports tailored to the different team's needs, enabling them to make informed decisions.
  • Work collaboratively with product development teams to identify features and enhancements that can positively impact performance.
  • Provide strategic recommendations based on data insights.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing and maintaining data governance standards.
  • Stay current with industry trends in data science and analytics to continually enhance the effectiveness of our strategies.
This role requires
  • Bachelor's degree in quantitative field (Business, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or related field) 
  • 3+ years od related work experience
  • Strong proficiency in data science tools and programming languages such as Python.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with data viz tools such as Tableau, Looker or similar 
  • In-depth knowledge of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders, particularly in the context of influencing strategies.
  • Strong project management skills - Independently execute, document, communicate. Influence stakeholders and partners while requirement gathering, designing data models and visualization.
  • Solid understanding of data privacy and security best practices.
Bonus points if you have
  • Prior experience in Analytics working with senior leaders in enterprise business
  • Experience in building ML based customer acquisition, expansion and retention models.
  • Experience with time series forecasting.
