As a Senior Software Engineer in our Cloud Platform Infrastructure team at Akamai, you'll play a vital role in enhancing our cloud offerings. Your responsibilities will involve system design, programming, and debugging, with a focus on Application & Microservice deployment on our Connected Cloud Platform. We value curiosity, ingenuity, and technical excellence, and we offer opportunities for impactful projects.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing the software running on Akamai connected cloud hosts
• Researching, proposing, and integrating relevant open-source projects based on product objectives
• Providing technical expertise and leadership for your team
• Improving internal processes and systems on a consistent basis
• Collaborating with stakeholders to improve cloud services management.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field
• Have a good understanding of systems programming (GNU/Linux) and networking concepts.
• Have good programming skills in C and/or C++ or a similar language.
• Have working experience with containers, infrastructure-as-code and related technologies.
• Have working experience with Python. Be able to write organized, efficient, and well-documented code
• Have good verbal and written communication skills.
