About the Role:

Are you an experienced medical writer looking for a career advancement opportunity? We are seeking a senior level medical writer who is ready to lead a team of Local Medical Communication Team. Based in Tokyo, you’ll play a pivotal role in translating science to commercial success of the client companies while contributing to the better patient care.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Local MedCom team, while writing for projects and advising medical writers in the team, including senior medical writers and editors as their manager.
  • Should have medical writing experience in commercial communications
  • Should be able to discuss with client contact with our account or sales leaders and develop communication concepts
  • Create proposals with sales team, lead presentations, and workshops

The successful candidate will ideally have:

  • Experience with healthcare clients at agencies
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry, especially pharmaceutical and biotechnology
  • Team management, and project management
  • Knowledge of healthcare tech (e.g., AI, robotics)
  • English presentation and facilitation skills
  • Having a high science degree is preferable, experience in industry association participations are preferable, but not required.

This position is based in our Tokyo office. We kindly ask that candidates have the legal right to work in Japan and are able to commute to the office.
