Staff Engineer, Application Engineering

This is a product expert position to drive the success of Synopsys core synthesis technologies in both Design Compiler and Fusion Compiler. As Product Applications Engineer, the individual will be the interface between field / the major customers and Synopsys synthesis product R&D to drive the leading-edge technology development for design implementation, and solution deployment at the worldwide customers.

Responsibilities include, providing technical support to field engineers and customers, writing / reviewing methodology specifications and functional specifications, developing and delivering of product training, writing technical papers and application notes, driving product direction.

Strong communication and English skills are required. The individual will have regular and proactive communication with worldwide R&D and field Application Engineers and act as a technical expert. The individual must be self-motivated and dedicated with exceptional debug skills.

Requires 3+ years of related experience. BSEE minimum and MSEE preferred. Be familiar with one or more of the following tools, Design Compiler, IC Compiler, IC Compiler II, Fusion Compiler, or similar tools.
