Intern - Software Development Engineer in Test (Edge & Application Networking)

The Image and Video Manager team works to provide customers with the most beautiful and lightest-weight images and videos to support high-performance web and mobile experiences, optimized for any device, network and browser, all at staggering scale. In this role, you'll work in a team responsible for system level end-to-end testing. You will test performance, reliability, scalability and functionality.

As a participant in our program, you will gain valuable experience and contribute through meaningful project work. You will have the opportunity to join us for training, networking events, and engagements with company leadership. Our internships are open to students and graduates.

Duration: 6 months
Salary: 5000-7000 PLN gross/month

Partner with the best

You will be testing Akamai proprietary software for routers and switches. In our team you can really have hands-on lab experience.

As a Software Engineer in Test Intern, you will be responsible for:

• Developing tools facilitating testing system (Python)
• Finding bugs by performing both manual and automated tests
• Developing automated test-cases (Python)
• Reconfiguring our setups in lab

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Demonstrate programming skills in Python
• Be familiar with Linux-like operating systems and tools
• Understand networking concepts and routing protocols
• Have knowledge of data formats: JSON, XML, CSV
• Be familiar with REST API interfaces
• Demonstrate good written and verbal communications skills and fluent English
• Have experience with configuration of network equipment as well as basics of SQL

Work in a way that works for you

Our 6-month intern program starts in July. The program requires you to be available 40 hours per week during summer months (July-September). We offer the opportunity to work part-time during the academic year (October-December).
