The IT SOX Compliance Manager oversees IT SOX efforts, ensuring alignment with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance requirements. This position offers strategic risk management insights while fostering collaboration with IT/Business Process teams and external auditors. Responsibilities include accurately scoping systems, applications, and consistently evaluating IT components within the Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) program to uphold compliance standards effectively.

As a Manager SOX Compliance and Internal Controls, you will be responsible for:

• Overseeing the IT SOX team while planning, executing, and delivering ITGC SOX testing, including design evaluation and operational effectiveness assessment.
• Managing SOX program timelines, meeting key milestones for walkthroughs and controls testing while updating Auditboard SOX tool for system accuracy.
• Collaborating with IT leadership and business process owners to ensure proper system scoping while promoting continuous improvement and effective control ownership.
• Monitoring and evaluating business changes' impact on ICFR, identifying control gaps, inefficiencies, improvement areas, and facilitating control rationalization efforts.
• Performing root cause analysis to evaluate control deficiencies, determining financial reporting impact, and recommending sustainable solutions during remediation efforts.
• Overseeing collaboration with external auditors to provide required documentation and ensure compliance with sampling guidelines for internal audit reliance.

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Hold degree in one of the areas: Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely connected discipline.
• Manage IT SOX testing planning and execution with relevant experience. Background in Big 4 or national accounting firms is a plus, but not required.
• Demonstrate expertise in ITGCs, including access controls, change management controls, data integrity controls, and computer operations controls.
• Demonstrate expertise with platforms and databases such as UNIX, Windows, Oracle, and MS SQL.
• Demonstrate expertise and understanding of SOX, AICPA, COSO, COBIT, and SSAE attestation standards.
• Demonstrate leadership, coaching, and team-building skills, exceptional analytical and critical-thinking abilities, with excellent project management and organizational expertise.
