The Role

Build reports/dashboards in accordance to the user requirement and test/deliver as per the project plan.

Provide estimates and contribute to defining timelines and project plans

Support requirements gathering of the end-to-end solution development for SAP BW/4/HANA report development.

Provide business expertise and best practice advise for Analysis for Office (AFO) tool

Provide subject matter advice in the development of BW/4HANA Deliverables.​

Assist project team with draft of functional specifications for Standard SAP BW/4HANA data models and views.​

Support technical configurations, and build of the application, source management, change management and/or technical delivery components.​

Work with project management to document and communicate risks and issues. 

Read data from multiple data sources and transform, enrich, and aggregate data for an efficient presentation in an enterprise environment

Work with onshore, offshore and 3rd party development teams to ensure coding, testing, debugging, and implementation activities are completed as required

Ensure alignment to Sun Life SDLC and internal standards and compliance

Transition projects and enhancements to Operations

Support our operational team as needed with problem analysis, resolution, escalation, and reporting

Collaborate closely with our internal teams (e.g. data architects, designers, business to business, business intelligence/reporting, server management, etc.) to deliver solutions for business needs.

Who You Are

Good understanding of HANA architecture, SAP BI/BW suite with 5+ years of experience

5+ years of experience of working with BW models in HANA Studio such as Composite providers, Advanced DSOs, Open ODS views.

3+ years of experience of working with SAP S/4 HANA as a data source, preferably in the FI domain.

Strong understanding of SAP S/4 Finance Data Model;

Experience with building BEx queries in SAP HANA studio using BW/4HANA Objects.

Experience with data extraction in BW/4HANA from SAP S/4HANA;

Experience with data ingestion to BW/4 HANA from 3rd party systems;

Experience in design and develop end to end data flows  for BW/HANA data models, including extractors, DTP’s and Open Hub.

Experience with reporting tools – SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Analysis for Office (AFO)

Experience with developing SAP S4/HANA CDS Views.

Experience with supporting reports as part of day to day operations, address reporting issues, break/fix, etc.; managing report request queue

Good experience in performance tuning of long running queries/procedures

Experience with large data volume, performance tuning

Experience in ABAP programming skills and SQL Skills.

Experience in Process chain development, monitoring, troubleshooting, data validation and reconciliation.

Experience with SDLC methodologies: Agile, Waterfall

Experience in Smart Data Access and Smart data Integration will be an added advantage.

Exposure to Cloud tools/integration will be an added advantage.

Preferred skills:

Business knowledge in the areas accounting, GL/AP/GR, Fixed Assets.

Experience with SAP NetWeaver Application Server

Experience working with offshore and third-party development teams
