NetApp is leading the way in how our customers get the most out of their data with industry-leading cloud data services, storage systems, and software.
The Legal team works closely with NetApp’s outside counsel and technology partners to ensure that the company completes legal objectives and stays on its profitable growth trajectory. The team plays an active role in guiding business decisions and safeguarding NetApp’s most important assets.
As a Legal Operations Administrator, you will join a highly entrepreneurial team. Responsibilities include drafting and executing contracts with law firms, maintaining the legal billing life cycle, and supporting Legal, Procurement, and Finance teams while managing relationships between attorneys, outside counsel, and technology partners. Strong communication skills and a strong command over billing processes are key to success in this role.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and execute Master Engagement and Matter Engagement Letters with law firms
• Prepare and execute vendor agreements, technology renewals, and subscriptions
• Facilitate new vendor onboarding and training on legal billing tools
• Facilitate operations metrics and patent awards
• Matter management and Invoice review
• Timekeeper authorization and rate approval
• Administrative tasks including employee onboarding and managing legal billing technology, mailboxes, and distribution lists
Job Requirements
• Extensive knowledge of contracting, legal billing and corporate finance best practices
• Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
• Solid analytical and problem-solving skills; detailed and process-oriented
• Experience working with executive leaders and global teams
• Able to think strategically with a growth mindset and sense of curiosity
• Service mentality with aim to support multiple teams
• Well-versed in technology, in particular legal billing tools
Education
•Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) + 5 years of experience in legal, business, or related field
•Professional certification(s) in finance, business, or related field preferred but not required
