Job Summary

We are looking for a Cloud Sales Specialist to drive growth for our CloudOps solution portfolio (Spot and Instaclustr). Spot and Instaclustr are one of NetApp's fastest-growing businesses. We enable companies to get the most out of their cloud investments. Our portfolio helps customers securely and reliably deploy, operate, and scale applications and infrastructure in the cloud. From AWS to GCP and Azure, from infrastructure optimization to open-source solutions as a service, we are changing the way that companies run workloads and applications in the cloud.

As a Cloud Sales Specialist, you will lead sales engagements and be responsible for demonstrating the value of Spot and Instaclustr offerings to customers. You will lead the end-to-end sales process through deal closure partnering with the wider NetApp sales team and Channels. You will be required to hunt for, and qualify, new opportunities in your assigned territory.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prospect, qualify, and develop a robust sales pipeline to meet revenue bookings targets

  • Collaborate with Sales team to develop and implement sales strategies to capture net-new customers

  • Conduct discovery and execute the sales process to determine the scope of the customers’ needs

  • Communicate the value of the offering to the various personas within an account

  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients and prospects

  • Timely and accurate updating of CRM customer information, forecasts, and pipeline data to ensure the generation of accurate territory and management reports

  • Leverage corporate tools and account intelligence to uncover opportunities within your territory

  • Serve as an evangelist for the CloudOps portfolio within NetApp, and externally

  • Continuously improve sales skills and knowledge of specific products and offerings aligned to specialty

Job Requirements

  • Strong understanding and experience in Cloud Optimization /Automation and Open Source Data Services, and of competitive offerings in the marketplace

  • Proficient understanding of cloud native technologies and their business benefits.

  • Proficient understanding of public cloud providers, their business models and offerings.

  • Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving net new business

  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams

  • Deep understanding of the customers goals and ability to demonstrate value to clients

  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements and work with various sales personnel across organizations and time-zones

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical value into business benefit 

  • Bachelor's Degree, MBA preferred
