Provides technical support to field engineers, technicians, and product support personnel who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and debugging complex electro/mechanical equipment, computer systems, complex software, or networked and/or wireless systems.

Responds to situations where first-line product support has failed to isolate or fix problems in malfunctioning equipment or software. Reports design, reliability, and maintenance problems or bugs to design engineering/software engineering. May be involved in customer installation and training.

Provides support to customers/users where the product is highly technical or sophisticated in nature.

Working at NTT

  • Deep understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, and security, including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac WLAN standards and industry best practices.
  • Perform upgrades, troubleshoot and fixes of network hardware, software and configuration issues.
  • Solid understanding of Cisco wireless infrastructure and architecture. Good hands-on experience with Wireless LAN controller and Cisco AP troubleshooting as well as with the Cisco WLC IOS Code upgrade.
  • Hands on experience with configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco WLC models like 9800, 8500, 5520, 5508, 2504, 5508 with HA SSO and all models of Cisco APs including wave 2 and next generation 9100 series APs.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting & Debugging expertise on Cisco WLC and Access Points.
  • Access point configuration in CAPWAP and Mobility Express solutions.
  • Traffic migration from Flex connect to Local mode and vice versa.
  • Fundamental knowledge of switching / routing protocols and authentication.
  • Experienced on testing and troubleshooting wireless products including access points (APs), WLC and other WLAN infrastructure like Cisco Prime, DNAC and client devices for evaluation.
  • Hands on knowledge and understanding of Cisco ISE/ Aruba ClearPass is an added advantage.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Interact with the client on a day-to-day basis and troubleshoot wireless network issues and resolve them under SLA.
  • Upgrade IOS of WLC as per schedule.
  • Handles all changes as per the change management process.
  • Ready to work on 24*7 operational support.
