The Cloud Managed Services Engineer (L2) is responsible for providing a managed service to clients to ensure that their Cloud infrastructure remain operational through proactively monitoring, identifying, investigating, and resolving cloud-based incidents, service requests and alerts. The primary objective of this role is to proactively review client requests or tickets and apply technical/process knowledge to resolve them without breaching service level agreement (SLA). This role focuses on second-line support for incidents and requests with a medium level of complexity to ensure the smooth operation and optimisation of clients' cloud infrastructure and services.

This role may also contribute to / support on project work as and when required.

Working at NTT

  • Min 5 to 8 years of experience in managing and maintaining AIX infrastructure.
  • Good troubleshooting skills in AIX - Lpar, Dlpar, HACMP,HMC, NIM, VIO etc
  • AIX Certification
  • Strong knowledge and must have hands-on experience on AIX, VIO and HMC
  • VIO upgrades/adapter firmware upgrades/VIO failover/maintenance procedures
  • HMC updates/frame upgrades/Live partition mobility/DLPAR/troubleshooting HMC issues
  • Install and configure AIX operating systems and servers.
  • Support AIX OS to run various software applications.
  • Maintain and upgrade the AIX OS.
  • Develop procedures for AIX security and management.
  • Develop performance improvement initiatives for AIX system environment.
  • Identify and resolve system issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze software and hardware environments to determine any system defects.
  • Perform maintenance routines to ensure continuous system availability.
  • Develop and implement disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity.
  • Should be ready to work in 24X7 Shifts
  • Flexibility to work outside of Business Hours to support any critical issues
  • Knowledge on and ability to follow Incident, Request, Problem and Change Management Process.
  • Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks with conflicting priorities
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and the ability to work with multiple geographically dispersed teams
