Pittsburgh - June 21, 2023 — WomenTech Network, a global community dedicated to inspiring women to succeed in technology, is pleased to announce a new partnership with Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Computer Science and Tepper School of Business. This collaboration marks a significant milestone in the ongoing efforts to foster diversity and inclusion within the technology industry.

The inaugural event of the partnership — which is open to everyone interested in product management — is set to take place on June 28 at 11 a.m. EDT. Named "Cracking into Product Management", this will be an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session featuring alumni from Carnegie Mellon's Master of Science in Product Management (MSPM) program. The event will be conducted virtually, providing an opportunity for participants worldwide to gain invaluable insights from product management alumni.

By joining forces, WomenTech Network and Carnegie Mellon aim to leverage their collective expertise and resources to empower aspiring leaders in technology and advance their opportunities. The partnership will facilitate the development of impactful initiatives, programs, and events that promote gender equality and provide students with the necessary skills and knowledge to thrive in the technology sector.

"We are thrilled to partner with Carnegie Mellon University," said Anna Radulovski, CEO and Founder of WomenTech Network. "Carnegie Mellon’s esteemed reputation, academic excellence, and commitment to fostering innovation aligns perfectly with our mission of empowering women in technology. Together, we will make great strides in creating a more inclusive and equitable industry."

The collaboration will involve various joint initiatives aimed at bridging the gender gap in the technology field and equipping people with the tools and support they need to excel in their careers to assume leadership positions. Throughout this partnership, WomenTech Network will actively promote the Master of Science in Product Management (MSPM) program at Carnegie Mellon School of Computer Science and Tepper School of Business, which offers a one-year curriculum to launch careers in product management. With a focus on design, tech, and business leadership skills, the MSPM program equips students for success in the field. Graduates secure roles like Product Manager, Technical Product Manager, and Senior Product Manager across various industries. The program is suitable for individuals with technical backgrounds and those from other disciplines.

"Carnegie Mellon’s Master of Science in Product Management program is thrilled to partner with WomenTech Network, sparking a powerful collaboration to advance gender diversity in technology," stated Brad Eiben, Executive Director, Master of Science in Product Management. "We will leverage our respective strengths to empower aspiring leaders to shape the future of the industry.  Diversity among students has been one of MSPM’s unique strengths, and we believe partnering with WomenTech Network will be a strong, strategic step in continuing to build tremendously successful product managers.”
