Business Data Analyst

The Operations Team seeks a talented Business Data Analyst to accelerate turning our Product Operations data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions. We are looking for dynamic, energetic, agile and autonomous team members backed with a solid data analysis acumen, who are enthusiastic to define and shape how Silicon IP business unit streamlines collaboratively its multiple engineering components.


Responsibilities

• Interpret data, examine results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing performance and compliance reports
• Develop and implement data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain datasets/dataflows
• Identify, examine, and interpret trends and/or patterns in complex data sets
• Prepare publishable reports providing actionable insights to different Engineering organizations
• Define, implement, and maintain Product Operations data structures and data pipelines
• Identify opportunities of improvement in existing and new data flows from both analytics and application perspective.
• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver easy access to data for consumptions in several applications.
• Collect up-to-date best-practices and new methodologies applicable to data related topics (statistical data analysis, reporting, etc)

Requirements

• MSc degree in a quantitative discipline such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, or other related
• Proven working experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst
• Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
• Demonstrable knowledge of and experience with reporting packages (Business Objects, etc.), databases (SQL, etc.), programming (XML, Javascript, or ETL frameworks)
• Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for evluating datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.)
• Solid analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Adept at queries, report preparation (PowerBI, Tableau, etc.) and presenting actionable insights
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, both to internal and external stakeholders. Proven ability to craft actionable messaging to peers.
• Exceptional interpersonal and teamwork skills. Willingness to manage and coordinate stakeholders across a global organization.
• Passion for new problem solving and team cooperation to yield new ideas and proposals, with peers who challenge you to be better.
• The desire to meet and exceed measurable performance goals. And the ability to deal with and thrive on objections.

Preferred Experience

• 5+ years of relevant experience in data analysis roles
• Demonstrable proficiency Python/Pandas (or similar) and with PowerBI reporting
• Work experience in multicultural environment/international company is a plus.
