From my perspective, to make structured support truly effective, programs should provide 'First Meeting' templates or frameworks. Junior women in tech can sometimes feel intimidated by senior leaders and may not know how to steer the conversation. By providing a loose agenda, such as goal-setting worksheets, icebreakers, or a 'what to ask your mentor' guide, you remove the pressure of the blank page. This empowers the mentee to drive the relationship from day one and ensures the mentorship starts with momentum rather than awkwardness.
