Karen Tam

Executive - Strategy and Growth Initiatives

Karen Tam is Head of Strategy and Growth Ventures for GE HealthCare, where she leads cross-business teams to drive growth and profitability through innovation, strategic partnerships, and digital solutions. She works at the intersection of corporate strategy and commercial execution, translating market shifts into scalable opportunities across products, services, and data-enabled offerings. Over the course of her career, Karen has led large-scale enterprise strategy and capital planning transformations across health systems ranging from community hospitals to national networks. She has guided executive teams through growth strategy, portfolio prioritization, financial planning, and organizational change. Prior to her current role, she advised more than 100 health care organizations and medical technology leaders, helping them navigate market disruption and align strategy with execution. Karen holds degrees from the University of Chicago and dual master’s degrees, an MBA and MPP, from the University of Michigan.

Adriana F Jimenez Avalos

AI Solutions Leader

Adriana Fernanda Jimenez Avalos is the AI Solutions Leader for GE HealthCare’s Patient Care Solutions business, where she drives continuous improvement through advanced technology and inclusive leadership. With a background in Biomedical Engineering and a passion for Lean Manufacturing and recent M.S in AI, Adriana blends technical expertise with a deep commitment to people and purpose. Over the last years she has mentored students and interns, sharing her journey through authenticity, career planning, and personal growth. As a proud Mexican, artist, and mother, she brings her whole self to every space. Adriana is an active member of the Women’s Network, Women in Manufacturing (WiM), and the Latin Forum. She believes in the power of connection to open doors and create meaningful impact across communities.
