Lara Dörner Bio (LinkedIn)
Lara Dörner is Co-Founder of goAVA, a technology company from Essen, Germany, that turns fifty years of computing around: instead of people learning the machine, the machine holds a human conversation, in more than 100 languages. With a background in communication, Lara leads strategy, people and marketing.Founded in 2023, goAVA employs 45 people and works with Deutsche Telekom, Techniker Krankenkasse, PwC, REWE Digital and Samsung, among others. Its own Trusted Language Platform limits answers to a knowledge base each client defines. goAVA holds a European patent for speech synchronisation, with further applications filed for how its avatars hold a conversation. All data is hosted in the EU, and every avatar is clearly labelled as AI.
Lara speaks on AI, the future of communication and Women in Tech. She received the ruhrSUMMIT "HerHood Crown" Female Founder Award and was named "Start-up of the Year" twice, in 2023 and 2024. She also supports the start-up ecosystem as a mentor and jury member.
